A little history…
Above all, a human adventure
In 1996, Eric PERRIN wrote this book in which he retraced the industrial history of the Saint-Chamond site. He dedicates it to his father and grandfather.
He also dedicates it to me and writes…in the hope of an industrial future in Saint-Chamond… Perhaps without knowing it, did he charge me with a mission? Personally, I think that nothing is irreversible and that we can always hope...for that, we must try!
On October 17, 2012, by the will of a few people, the company CLESID LORBER (former flagship of French industry) was reborn…
This one, born in the Loire, specialized in converters, dedusting systems, continuous casting, electric arc furnaces but also in processing and finishing lines for flat products, disappeared in 1982 following the merger with SECIM, CLE and Delattre Levivier
Today, CLESID LORBER is returning to 53 rue Sibert on the historic site of Saint Chamond, renamed Novaciéries.
The skills of the men and women who made CLESID LORBER have been perpetuated through the companies that have succeeded this merger rich in this heritage, some are now back to continue this industrial adventure, which began in the middle of the 19th century.
The desire to establish the company in the French industrial landscape over the long term, combined with strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening our structure and positioning us on large-scale projects, led in 2025 to the acquisition of a stake in the SDIH group, chaired by Mr Guillaume Pasquier. To mark this significant transformation, CLESID Lorber is changing its name to : ArcInnov Technologies.

Director’s word
Since May 14th, 2025, CLESID has become ArcInnov. Technologies!
As part of an industrial consolidation strategy serving strategic sectors, our design office, renowned for its expertise in steel process engineering and complete line design, has joined the SDIH group (Savoie Développement Industrie Holding), which already included the industrial companies SCCM ALP based in Cognin (73) and GUICHON VALVES ORIGIN located in Chambéry (73).
This merger strengthens a new French industrial integrator with unique know-how, supporting French industrial sovereignty.
By combining our historical expertise with that of SCCM ALP, another emblematic company of the steel industry, we can now rely on a complete industrial ecosystem focused on large-scale projects, energy, nuclear, and critical industries.
The company’s story began in the 19th century and thanks to us, it continues today!
The ArcInnov. Technologies team is young and, through the skills it holds and develops, full of promise for the future!
